FPI Registration Process

First time Applicant

Step 1: Registration


How it works

Create a user ID as an FPI Applicant or Global Custodian, to initiate registration.

Your selected DDP will verify your ID. Once verified, you’ll receive a email and can proceed to login to fill the Common Application Form (CAF)

Step 2: Application


How it works

Use the login credentials from your registration form to login to fill the Common Application Form (CAF).

The CAF requires details like KYC, PAN, tax residency etc. Complete and submit a signed copy to be reviewed by your DDP.

After CAF Submission

Step 3: Approval


How it works

Once approved, the DDP generates an FPI Registration Certificate, and the Income Tax Department generates PAN.

FPI Registration is officially completed when the applicant receives their Certificate and PAN.
