Realignment of CDSL's Fee Structure

In line with changing market practices, CDSL had decided to realign its fee structure with effect from May 1, 2002. The fee realignment became necessary in the wake of the announcement of flat transaction fees by the other depository. Since the announcement of the realignment, SEBI has advised CDSL to have a review of its fees before it could be made effective from May 1, 2002.

CDSL while proposing the realignment in its fees has taken care to ensure there is no undue burden imposed on the depository participants or the small investors. The realigned fee structure maintains our investor-friendly practice of not charging any fees for custody and annual account maintenance as well as for demat of securities.

CDSL's Board of Directors has, since, reviewed the matter regarding settlement fee structure and has decided to go ahead with its implementation, with effect from May 1, 2002.

The realigned fee structure of CDSL to its depository participants is as follows
