EXTENTION OF "LOW TARIFF UNLIMITED SERVICE" (LoTUS) SCHEME
DPs are requested to refer to communiqué no. CDSL/OPS/DP/141 dated 26-03-2002, wherein the salient features of the LoTUS scheme and the procedure for registration were informed to you. We had also informed you that the said scheme would be open for registration from April 1, 2002 to June 30, 2002.
We have received requests from several DPs for extension of the scheme since many BOs wish to obtain the benefits of the scheme and are in the process of completing the necessary formalities for registration.
In view of the above, we have decided to extend the registration period to July 15, 2002.
DPs are also informed the following -

The terms and conditions as mentioned in communiqué no.CDSL/OPS/DP/141 dated 26-03-2002 would be applicable to the accounts registered under the LoTUS scheme during the extended period.
2.
For the BOs registering during the period from July 01,2002 to July 15, 2002, the benefits of registration will become effective from August 01, 2002.
The DPs are required to complete the registration procedure for the intending BOs on or before July 15, 2002.
