Inauguration of "easiest"

CDSL has achieved yet another milestone with the launch of easiest (electronic access to securities information and execution of secured transactions) on Tuesday March 9, 2004 at the hands of Shri G.N.Bajpai, Chairman, SEBI at a function held at BSE Convention Hall. easiest enables investors to enter securities transfer instructions themselves, through the Internet.

Besides enabling them to meet the strict deadlines of delivery, set under the shortened settlement cycle, it will also preclude the need of their visiting DP offices to obtain instruction slips and to lodge them with the DP. He can enter the necessary instructions for delivery of securities from his demat account, from anywhere in the world at a time of his choosing. Thus, for the DPs and their client investors, easiest is much more than an instruction-entry mechanism. It is an apparatus that will save cost and effort besides affording convenience.
