Certification Programme on Depository Services 'BCCD' (BSE's Certification on Central Depository) The advent of the depository system - its geographical reach and, most importantly, its acceptance by all classes of investors in the securities market - has become one of the great success stories of the Indian Financial Sector. From the conception stage itself, CDSL chose to benchmark itself against investors' expectations and concerns. Provision of convenient, dependable and secure services at an affordable cost has been at the heart of CDSL's unwritten contract with all classes of investors. Since commencement of its operations, CDSL has assured a name as a reliable and affordable depository, providing investors with a competitive alternative. All types of investors, whether institutional or retail, have benefited immensely by the emergence of CDSL, not only in terms of the costs, but also through the wide spread of Depository Participants. To train all market participants on depository services, BSE and CDSL have launched a certification programme "BSE's Certification on Central Depository (BCCD)". The programme is intended to give declaration that a successful candidate is in possession of an acceptable level of knowledge of depository services. Any person with basic computer skills (the tests will be conducted on-line) and an interest in the depository system would benefit from the programme. CDSL welcomes each participant expressing interest for this certification programme. This test is independent of CDSL's DP training programme, the benefit of which is available only to DP staff. The certification fee is Rs.843/- (Eight Hundred and Forty Three only), payable by Demand Draft, in favour of “Bombay Stock Exchange Limited”. The fees include service tax and education cess For registration, please download the BCCD registration form from the link given below (the same can be downloaded from www.bseindia.com also), and forward the same to BSE Training Institute, 18th Floor, P. J. Towers, Dalal Street, Fort, Mumbai-400 001 along with four passport size photographs of the intended participant. After 10 days of despatch of Registration Form to BSE, the participant will have to visit the nearest center of his/her choice [as per the list given below], along with photo-identity, to confirm registration and to fix the date on which he/she would like to appear for the examination. The candidate will have to appear for the examination within THREE MONTHS from the date of registration, failing which, the fees paid would be forfeited.
